Doyle Sails Australia are the sailmakers who make it possible. Bob Fraser established the Doyle Fraser company over 30 years ago, and in that time Doyle has proved itself to be a premier brand in sailmaking not only in Australia, but also internationally. Mark Fullerton, Steve Hewitt and John Hearne are now the owner operators of the Doyle lofts in Sydney. With their new name - 'Doyle Sails Australia' (since 1 July 2006) has proved a dominance for in the Australian sailing community. The loft is also well respected on the world sailing scene. The directors are all active, competitive yachtsmen, and combined have some 60 years experience in the yachting industry. This experience is complemented a large, efficient and technologically advanced sail loft, and the Doyle team. This includes highly respected designer, Michael Carter. Nev Wittey brings a wealth of sailing experience to the team as Sales Manager. World champion, Olympic sailor, Int Juror and Judge. Sail-Pack sail design software is the choice of all Doyle Lofts. It is a world leader in sail design technology. The new software has also enabled maintainence of the level of design as new boats and rules are devised. Technology, as in all industries, is moving at a rapid pace and the R&D is enhanced with the use of sailpack. Lately Aero was added to the loft software technology. Aero allows the team to virtually sail the designs through a wind tunnel and evaluate speed, shape and versatility. To fully utilise Aero, there is a need to collaborate with the designer on the yacht design and righting moments. This programme whilst not run on every boat, is a formidable tool for design and R&D. | ||||||||
